Cleo scaled
Cleo

Eight-year-old Cleo recently found herself without a home when her owners could no longer care for her. Cleo is described as loving, loyal, and smart! Cleo is house trained, great with everyone she meets including children, and loves the outdoors. Cleo has not been around many dogs throughout her life and would do best as a solo dog in her forever home. All she really wants is a permanent place to call her own, some belly rubs and a good brushing now and again.

If you are interested in adopting Cleo, please contact her foster at suzane_rabbat@hotmail.com, or text  516-545-1778 (text is preferred).

Available for adoption at the Smithtown Animal Shelter

Samson
Samson

**Senior Alert** Samson is an 8-year-old Boxer/Pit Mix who was found abandoned in a park with his sister after his mom passed away. His sister, Delilah, has found her furrever home, but Samson is still sadly in the animal shelter waiting for a loving owner to come along. Samson adores people, is a big fan of snuggles, and is very friendly and gentle. He often gets overlooked because of his age, but he has as much energy and desire to play as any young dog. Samson will do well in a home with older children and with some dogs.

If you are interested in adopting Samson, please call 631-360-7575 for more information today!

Available for adoption at North Shore Animal League America

Mohawk and Oneonta
Mohawk and Oneonta

**Double Adoption and Senior Alert** Special 9-year-old senior Oneonta (Adoption #BF2526) spent her entire life surrounded by a large clowder of male cats. Through all the ups and downs, it’s been her 11-year-old lifelong friend Mohawk (Adoption #BF2530) who she’s depended on to help her feel safe. Animal League America wants them to feel the comfort of a safe home so, they’re seeking a home with adults only who are experienced in boosting the confidence of these tentative friends. They’ve given them all the time they need to warm up to humans, and we expect that the long-term commitment to them in their first safe home will elicit the same response.

Delaware
Delaware

Seven-year-old Delaware (Adoption #BF2527) was rescued from a frightening situation last year but fortunately, this stoic gentleman landed safely in the care of Animal League America’s compassionate team who ask nothing of him but to feel safe with them. He’s content to spend his days gazing out the window, studying the birds from his comfy perch. Delaware’s life has not been shared with humans who provided consistent care so, a very predictable home (with no children) with cat-experienced adults who have the heart to nurture a fearful friend is needed to create a permanent, safe space for him. Delaware may not know it yet, but the best years are ahead for him once he finally joins a family who treats him like the treasure he is.

Montauk
Montauk

Last year, Animal League America was alerted to an emergency situation where they discovered Montauk and several friends in need of help. They’ve given this 8-year-old survivor the quietest place to settle into after a lifetime of chaos and given him all the time he needs to show us who he really is. Readjusting to trusting humans has been a struggle at times for Montauk (Adoption #BF2531), but each day he is opening up a little more to the pawsabilities of a life shared with quiet humans who can offer him a consistent, predictable, and safe home (child-free, please.) If you have a confident cat who would like to share their joyful pet experience with him, Montauk would be a loyal learner.

Lana
Lana

Lovely 1-year-old Lana (Adoption #H211408) is having a lot of fun “helping” her coworkers in the Pet Health Centers where she resides, but her heart is hopeful a more permanent home is in her future. This precocious girl has been the focus of attention since she arrived as a kitten in need of Animal League America’s vets’ help. Her cerebellar hypoplasia diagnosis has led to issues with seizures and impaired vision—but it hasn’t impacted her determination! Now that the vets have a successful plan in place, she’s looking for a family ready to take over the wonderful care she’s received.  Lana has been added to their Sponsor Program which makes caring for her for the rest of her life as easy as loving her. If you need a little sidekick to dazzle your family, look no further than Lana. She’s purrfectly imperfect!

Milky Way and Snickers
Milky Way and Snickers

**Double Adoption** When a local rescuer delivered 5-month-olds Milky Way (Adoption #H211650) and Snickers (Adoption #H211651) to Animal League America, the kittens needed a little extra time in a foster home to realize human hands meant care. They’ve had great success with those expert hands, and now they’re ready to show a permanent family all they’ve learned about ear rubs, treats, and love. A home with some cat experience and children over age eight would be an ideal setting for these two… along with some treats!

Jerry and George
Jerry and George

**Double Adoption** Wait a minute… these aren’t kitties!  Some BUNNY needs a home! Jerry (Adoption #BF4456) and George (Adoption #BF4457) were recently rescued from a park where they’d been abandoned and are now safely enjoying a steady stream of love and munchies as we ready them for the best days of their lives—the ones they’ll spend in your loving home. While George is a bit unsure about new situations, he’ll always be his buddy Jerry’s loyal sidekick. Jerry offers George the guidance he needs to feel safe. A consistent environment with older kids is all these bunnies need to hop into happiness, and straight into your heart!

Lassie and Pluto
Lassie and Pluto

**Double Adoption** There’s never been a better time to adopt a pair of mini house panthers than right now! Lassie (Adoption #H212042) and her brother Pluto (Adoption #H212043) were a trifle nervous about coming indoors since surviving on the streets was all they’ve known, but in a very short time, they’ve warmed up to the idea of being safe and cozy in a comfy bed with toys and food always available for them. All these sweet 4-month-old siblings need is someone with experience nurturing the feline worries away. A family (with children over age 8 ideally) will find it very easy to win Lassie and Pluto over with some calm consistency, loving patience—and treats!

Ollie
Ollie

When sweet 6-month-old Ollie (Adoption #PR00159) was rescued from Puerto Rico, he was placed in a home with other pets who didn’t warm up to him. Not to worry! Animal League America has made room for him at Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center and they’re warming up just fine as they wait for Ollie to find a loving home. They don’t anticipate him waiting for long. Someone this wonderful will have no problem finding his furever family. Don’t hesitate – if you think Ollie was meant to be yours come ask to meet him!

Willow
Willow

With just a little encouragement and a handful of treats, Animal League America is teaching Willow (Adoption #NCI3168) she’s furever safe, and they’re making sure they find her an adopter who will continue to provide the security she’d been missing. A quiet, consistent home (with older children) can offer this “catten” (she’s 15-months-old) the predictable environment that gives comfort to our shy friends. Want to win Willow’s heart? Start with an encouraging word (and some treats) and follow this sweet girl’s lead.

Ask about meeting any of these fabulous felines (and rabbits!) by emailing DoritS@animalleague.org or visit Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center (open daily, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.)

Halo

Five-year-old Halo needed some help after a kind stranger brought him to the vet when they found him wandering the streets alone. He is such a silly and loving boy who would be such an amazing addition to any family. Halo is good with other cats, dogs, and children!

Rocco
Rocco

Rocco is the cutest 11-month-old puppy who comes from a horrible breeding situation in which he suffered a bent paw. This has not held him back even in the slightest from doing anything. He has tons of puppy energy and is in need of a forever family that love play time just as much as he does!

Snickerdoodle
Snickerdoodle
