100 Black Men of America, Inc. granted new chapter charter to 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc. on Dec. 10, 2022 in Atlanta, Georgia.

100 Black Men of Eastern New York’s mission is to serve the African American Community in Eastern New York in the areas of education, health and wellness, advocacy, mentoring, and community development, leadership development, and economic empowerment.

Phil Andrews is the founding president of 100 Black Men of Eastern New York and the current president of the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc., New York State’s largest African American Chamber.

He is also the past president of a local chapter of 100 Black Men of America, Inc., and president-emeritus of the Black Public Relations Society-New York Inc. (BPRS-NY) which is New York’s premier organization for Image Makers and Strategists in Public Relations.

Andrews has received many proclamations from notable political officials including offices from New York State Assembly, Nassau and Suffolk County executives, Long Island mayors, senators, NYC elected officials and a variety of other elected offices.

The Metro District Office of the United States Small Business Administration named Andrews as the 2019 Small Business Champion for 14 counties in Downstate, New York in 2019. He has also been named to City and State Magazine Top Power List on Long Island on three separate occasions. Long Island Business News named Andrews as one of the Top Power Long Islanders for 2021. In November of 2021 he was inducted into the class of Long Island Business Hall of Fame, and a permanent plaque was placed on the wall of Hofstra’s Zarb School of business in his honor.

Andrews currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Interfaith Nutrition Network, and was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Long Island Association.

The 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc. is a membership-based organization.
