Sweat Tea
Sweet Tea

Sweet Tea is a 2- to 3-year-old female Pit Mix who arrived at the animal shelter as a stray that was never claimed. She was found wandering around busy roads and looking lost. Her time as a stray left her a little underweight, and there were some signs that she had a recent litter.

Fortunately, after taking some time to adjust to her new surroundings, she is showing everyone how loving, energetic, and social she can be! Sweet Tea loves meeting new people and responds positively to training. Sweet Tea would do well in a home with older children, and she’ll likely get along with most other pets.

If you are interested in meeting Sweet Tea, please fill out an application to schedule time to properly interact with her in a domestic setting, which includes the shelter’s Meet and Greet Room, the dog runs, and dog walk trail. To inquire about Sweet Tea or to meet your potential soulmate, call 631-360-7575 today!

Available for adoption at Tender Loving Cats

Lady Marmalade
Lady Marmalade

Lady Marmalade was a momma found outside with her babies. She quickly let her rescuers know that she is a gentle and loving lady who loves people. Her favorite activities include lounging and taking naps on a nice cat tree or couch!

Lady Marmalade can be shy at first, needing some time to adjust and show just how sweet she is. Once settled you will hear her purring and making air biscuits all the time! She does not like to be picked up or held but will rub against you and beg for pets when she wants them. Lady Marmalade would do well with other cats given the proper introduction.

Lady Marmalade has an autoimmune condition called pemphigus which may flare up in stressful situations. If and when her condition flares back up it can be controlled on a course of low dose steroids, which she takes easily in a pill pocket, and de-stressing measures.

Due to her condition, she is looking for a quiet, low-stress home with an experienced adopter. To adopt this sweet lady, complete an adoption application here: tenderlovingcats.org/adoption-application.html.

Available for adoption at North Shore Animal League America

Lana
Lana

Lovely 1-year-old Lana (Adoption #H211408) is having a lot of fun “helping” her co-workers in the Pet Health Centers where she resides, but her heart is hopeful a more permanent home is in her future. This precocious girl has been the focus of our attention since she arrived as a kitten in need of Animal League America’s vets’ help to address her medical issues. Her cerebellar hypoplasia has led to issues with seizures and impaired vision—but hasn’t impacted her determination!

Now that doctors have launched a successful treatment plan, she’s looking for a family (with previous cat experience and any kids over age ten) who can take over the wonderful care she’s received, since she’s a part of the North Shore Animal League American Sponsor Program, caring for Lana the rest of her life will be as easy as loving her. If you need a little helper to dazzle your family, look no further than Lana. She’s purrfectly imperfect!

Bambino and Ollie
Bambino and Ollie

**Double Adoption** Time has been a valuable tool as Animal League America has observed what has made 1-year-old Bambino happy in the months since he arrived from Puerto Rico. When he first arrived, Bambino was not interested in fellow furry friends, but he slowly began to show mild interest in his peers (which was not reciprocated as Bambino’s energy tends to be too much for the average cat.)

Enter not-so-average, 10-month-old Ollie (also from Puerto Rico) with a similar awkward demeanor with other cats. A slow introduction yielded miraculous results and we regularly find them sharing a treat puzzle or a snooze on a big bed—in between wrestling sessions! Their dynamic energy may not be for everyone, so we’re looking for a home with no children and adults ready and willing to keep up with these rambunctious boys.

Ink
Ink

Five-year-old Ink (Adoption #BF4471) was in desperate need of help when his rescue discovered him discarded in a junkyard. Animal League America vets got to work tending to his medical needs, while the staff at Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center provided the tender loving care he needed after the hardships of surviving outdoors.

This timid, gentle soul is FIV+, likely a result of his time outside, but now he’s safely snuggled in a bed in his room and looks forward to a comfortable future. If you’d like to be Ink’s hero, all he asks is more peace, a nurturing heart, and a never-ending flow of treats delivered to him in bed. An experienced cat owner (with children over age ten) can supply him more than enough love and consistency to help settle him into life as a beloved family member.

Jacque
Jacque

Ten-month-old Jacque (Adoption #H212151) took hold of everyone’s heart the moment he arrived. Leaving his familiar foster hero who’d given him a second chance at a bright new life, he’s looked to Animal League America for reassurance, and when he feels safe, he shows all the love he has to give. Jacque was lucky to land where veterinarians discovered a manageable heart condition.

This is a covered condition that forges a relationship between hero adopters and the vets who will care for him at cost through the Pet Health Centers. Animal League America is committed to making Jacque and his new family enjoy each other fully while the Animal League America family cheers them on!

Posie
Posie

Adorable Posie (Adoption #NCR6117) is still a bit shaken from her long journey to New York, but the promise of a quiet, loving home is in her future future. This lovely 2-year-old lady from North Carolina has gained lots of admirers based on her beauty alone, but her ideal household is one where she’ll feel safe and loved.

One with gentle, cat-experienced hands (and children over age ten) who can add to the feelings of security will allow a successful adjustment into life in a home as a beloved family member. Volunteers noticed Posie is drawn to her more confident roommates, so a loving cat in your home could be a definite plus for her. Please visit Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center and ask about meeting Posie today!

Capris and Sonny
Capris and Sonny

**Double Adoption** Marvelous mini-house-panthers Capris (Adoption #NCR6129) and Sonny (Adoption #NCR6130) are the matched set of loyal siblings you need! This delectable 5-month-old duo rely on each other to navigate new situations, and they’ve been charming everyone from the moment they arrived at Animal League America from an overcrowded southern shelter.

You’ll delight in giving these gentlemen all the chin rubs they crave.  If you’d like to begin a lifetime of being loved by two adorable companions, come to Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center right away and ask to meet Capris and Sonny!

Mixie and Mush Mush
Mixie and Mush Mush

**Double Adoption** Although they are bonded siblings, 5-month-old local catches Mixie (Adoption #CO0022) and Mush Mush (Adoption #CO0023) could not have had different responses to their new, safe setting While Mixie is up front and center in each cat and human playgroup she encounters, Mush Mush is spectating from the sidelines in his comfy bed, but always open to a greeting from a nearby friend. Their different purrsonalities balance them out, making them a super match for each other—and you! Why not adopt the best of both worlds today?

Buddy and Charles III
Buddy and Charles III

**Double Adoption** Charles III (Adoption #H211335) traveled all the way from Oman last year to be welcomed by Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center.  This is where he met his best friend, Buddy (Adoption #IR1354). Animal League America has vowed to let this beautiful friendship keep going as we look for a lucky family to adopt these sweet 1-year-old boys. Each sweet feline has a fabulous purrsonality individually, but together, they’re pure magic!
