3 New Restaurants to Try on Long Island

THE FRENCH WORKSHOP

Popular café and bakery The French Workshop has opened a new Long Island location in Wantagh. Many Nassau County residents already know the wonders of The French Workshop because of its previously existing locations in Plainview and Garden City. Not only is this a quaint spot to dine for lunch, it is also a place to satisfy your sweet tooth with desserts galore.

The French Workshop has three different menus: coffee, lunch, and baked goods. It is perhaps best known for its flavorful macarons. Its lunch menu includes a range of options, from the ham and Swiss croissant ($5) or ham and Swiss baguette ($6.85) to a salmon sandwich ($8.95), egg-bacon tart sandwich ($5.95), or BLT sandwich ($7.95), and more.

KINYA RAMEN

New Jersey-based Kinya Ramen has opened in the Broadway Mall in Hicksville. The ramen restaurant shares a space with Hook & Reel, a Cajun and seafood bar, so you and your party can choose to order items from both menus when you visit. Plus the staff hosts bingo every Thursday night. Anyone who dines in plays for free for a chance to win a prize.

But getting to Kinya’s delicious menu: There are nine different types of ramen dishes to choose from, plus add-ons. These include the Kinya ramen ($18), veggie ramen ($15), and the shrimp tempura ramen ($17). There are also nine appetizer options, including gyoza ($7), buns ($8), and wings ($10). The restaurant also offers a ramen combo that includes one ramen dish and one appetizer for $22.
