Investigators identified a missing 20-year-old West Babylon man as the person whose skeletal remains were found on the side of a parkway ramp in West Islip last week, New York State police said.
Isaiah Henriquez was last seen on April 8 after leaving a party in Brentwood, Suffolk County police said. But his family, who reported him missing the next day, said he was last seen getting out of a Lyft rideshare near the Poospatuck Reservation in Mastic.
“The circumstances surrounding the cause of his death are under investigation,” police said in a news release.
A driver heading eastbound on the Southern State Parkway got off at Exit 40 to get on the Robert Moses Causeway southbound and pulled off onto the grass on the west side of the ramp when he made the discovery near the woods at about 7:15 a.m. Thursday, police said.
