On January 26th, 2024, the New Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Pho Island.
Business owner Kally Ke along with manager Billy Dang welcomed the Chamber’s directors and dignitaries for the ribbon cutting ceremony. The weather did not stop everyone from coming out to show their support of this tradition, whereby local businesses are spotlighted and welcomed into the community by a ‘grand opening,’ one of the many ways the NHP Chamber supports small local business owners. After the ribbon cutting ceremony, the business is awarded several citations and certificates, as from the Nassau Legislator’s Office, Office of Comptroller, local State Assembly, and many others who come out to support this event.
The staff at Pho Island provided a delicious lunch featuring spring rolls, chicken and pork sandwiches, chicken wings, and salad, among other choices. Pho Island is located at 1200 Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park. Parking for this restaurant is located at the back of the restaurant but you can find additional parking along Jericho Turnpike or on the side streets.
