Life’s WORC, a nonprofit organization that has fought for the rights of special needs individuals for more 50 years, hosted its Thursday Night Fever gala on March 22 at the Cradle of Aviation in Garden City.

Life’s WORC was founded by Victoria Schneps-Yunis in 1971. Schneps-Yunis is also the founding president of Schneps Media, Long Island Press‘s publisher.
The gala, which was co-sponsored by Rocavaka and featured That 70s Band, honored Jeffrey Hausner, executive vice president of Intelli-Tec, and Robin Havens, parent and advocacy family chair of Life’s WORC, whose son lives at the Manzo Residence.
The event also honored Frida Coals-Desir for 36 years of service to Life’s WORC and Arlene Days for 35 years.
