Supervisor Joseph Saladino and his colleagues on the Oyster Bay Town Board recently recognized a wonderful collaboration that supported local special needs students. The Center for Developmental Disabilities in Woodbury, partnered with the Oyster Bay Railroad Museum to provide hands-on, real-world job experiences for students as part of a special Vocational Internship Program. The program affords students a unique opportunity to participate in a number of different job experiences and upon completion of the program, the students gained valuable experience and everyone enjoyed a tremendous sense of accomplishment. Supervisor Saladino congratulated everyone and proudly issued Town Citations for participating students and administrators.
