The Arson Bomb Squad reports the details of a residential Fire that occurred on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 3:41 pm in East Meadow. According to detectives, officers responded to a house fire located on Arliegh Road. Upon arrival, officers observed the home fully engulfed in flames. The East Meadow Fire Department responded to extinguish the flames, assisted by multiple surrounding town fire departments. There was extensive damage to the house and minor damage to a neighboring home. All occupants were evacuated safely. Three adults and two juveniles were transported to a local area hospital for smoke inhalation. The investigation is ongoing.

Occupied Residential Burglary
The Fourth Squad reports the details of an Occupied Residential Burglary that occurred on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 4:05 a.m. in East Rockaway. According to detectives, unknown suspect(s) entered a residential home located on Waverly Avenue through an open garage. The suspect(s) removed a set of car keys, a wallet and left the scene in an unknown direction. There is no further description of the subject(s) at this time. The investigation is ongoing. Arrest
The Second Squad reports the arrest of an Amityville man for a Robbery that occurred on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 6:33 pm in Hicksville. According to detectives, Clayton Rhoden, 33, of 21 Grant Avenue, entered Target located at 2003 Broadway Mall and proceeded to pass all points of purchase with store merchandise. After attempting to exit the store without rendering payment, three loss prevention officers confronted Rhoden and he threatened them with a knife before fleeing the scene. Subsequent to the investigation, responding officers located Defendant Rhoden on Newbridge Road and placed him under arrest without further incident. No injuries were reported. Defendant Clayton Rhoden is charged with Robbery 1st Degree, Attempted Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, three (3) counts of Menacing 2nd Degree and Petit Larceny. He will be arraigned on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.

Arrest
Fifth Squad Detectives report the arrests of two males for Unlawful Possession of a Skimmer Device that occurred on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 10:13 pm in Franklin Square. According to detectives, officers responded to a 911 call for suspicious people at Ridgewood Savings Bank located at 1010 Hempstead Turnpike. The complainant advised 911 these individuals were placing a skimming device on the ATM at the bank. Upon arrival, officers located two males fitting the description given to 911 and following a thorough investigation defendants Pavel Olewski, age 30 and Andrei Stefan, age 36 were arrested. Further investigation determined that the defendants were responsible for placing a skimming device at the following locations and dates: Andrei Stefan – placed a skimming device at the same Ridgewood Savings Bank five additional dates in June. Stefan also placed a skimming device at an additional Ridgewood Savings Bank located at 2080 Bellmore Avenue in Bellmore on June 9th, 2024. Pavel Olewski – was involved with placing a skimming device at the Franklin Square location on three additional dates in June with Stefan. Defendant Stefan is charged with seven (7) counts of Unlawful Possession of a Skimmer Device 2nd Degree. Defendant Olewski is charged with four (4) counts of Unlawful Possession of a Skimmer Device 2nd Degree. Both defendants were arraigned on June 23, 2024 at First District Court, Hempstead.
New Cassel
Arrest
The Third Squad reports on the Arrest of a Juvenile on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 3:44 PM for multiple Robberies that occurred in New Cassel. According to Detectives, a 15-year-old male would arrange meetings with other males through a dating app and after meeting with them at a prearranged location and entering their vehicle, he would display a knife and threaten to stab them if they did not drive to various ATMs to withdraw money. The victims, fearing for their lives, would comply and give the juvenile defendant the money withdrawn or their personal items before the defendant would exit the vehicle and flee the scene. These incidents occurred at the following times and locations; Friday, June 14, 2024 in New Cassel and Friday, June 21, 2024 in New Cassel. Following a thorough investigation, the juvenile subject was identified, located and placed under arrest on Sunday, June 23, 2024 without incident. The 15-year-old defendant is charged with two counts of Robbery 1st degree, two counts of Kidnapping 2nd degree, two counts of Grand Larceny 4th degree, two counts of Menacing 2nd degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree and Petit Larceny. He will be arraigned on Monday, June 24, 2024 at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead. The Third Squad reports the details of an Occupied Residential Burglary that occurred on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 3:32 a.m. in North New Hyde Park. According to Detectives, an unknown suspect entered a residential home located on Kings Lane through an unlocked front window. The suspect removed a cellphone and a wallet containing miscellaneous credit cards. The suspect left the scene in an unknown direction. The investigation is ongoing. The subject is described as a male black wearing all black clothing, mask and gloves. Fatal Vehicular Accident Update
The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Vehicular Accident that occurred on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 9:19 PM in Plainview. According to Detectives, Justin Iezzoni, 30, of Dix Hills, was operating a 2016 Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on the Long Island Expressway in the vicinity of exit 46 when he struck the rear of a 2023 International Tractor Trailer. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at scene by a Nassau County Police Department Medic. The operator of the truck, a 57-year-old male, was uninjured and remained at scene. A safety check was performed on the truck. The investigation is ongoing.

First Squad Detectives report the arrest of a Nesconset man for Criminal Possession of a Firearm that occurred on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 11:33 pm in Roosevelt. According to detectives, officers observed a large group standing in the street blocking vehicular traffic in front of a Hillman Place residence. During the investigation, Peyton Richards, 18, of 5 Knolltop Drive was found to be in possession of black Polymer P80 Ghost Gun with a laser light attachment and a magazine containing 23 rounds of 9mm ammunition. Defendant Peyton Richards was also in possession of a second magazine containing 9 rounds of 9mm ammunition. Defendant Peyton Richards was arrested without incident. Defendant Peyton Richards is charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree. He will be arraigned on Monday, June 24, 2024 at First District Court, Hempstead.
Seaford
Sex Offense
The Eighth Squad reports the details of an incident that occurred on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 5:32 PM in Seaford. According to detectives, a 34-year-old-female victim was walking in the rear of 751 Seamans Neck Road, when she was approached by a male suspect who inappropriately touched her and fled on foot. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 20 to 25 years old, with long hair and braces on his teeth. The investigation is ongoing.
