INDEPENDENCE DAY
Children’s Bicycle Parage
9:30 a.m. (Robert M. Finley Middle School) Decorate bicycles, scooters, strollers, wagons, etc. with flags and patriotic colors for the town’s bicycle parade. The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m., starting at the Middle School and ending at the Village Square. Once completed, Mayor Panzenbeck will lead residents in the Pledge of Allegiance and refreshments will be served. Make sure to bring helmets and protective gear.
Fireworks
7:30 p.m. (Morgan Memorial Park) A concert will be held in the park starting at 7:30 p.m., and a Fourth of July firework show will start at 9:15 p.m. Residents are welcome to join the festivities. The rain date for the event is Friday, July 5.

Valley Quilters and Knitters
1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. (Community Room at the Locust Valley Public Library) The Locust Valley Library hosts Valley Quilters and Knitters every Friday in order to provide community events for local crafters. Bring a project or join for brainstorming. Expert crafters may be on hand to help any beginners. For more information, visit www.locustvalleylibrary.org.
Downtown Sounds
7:30 p.m. (Glen Cove Village Square) The Glen Cove Business Improvement District begins its annual concert series on July 5. Every Friday this summer, there will be a free concert for residents in the Village Square. This Friday, enjoy The Dance Mechanics for Funk and R&B music. Vendors will attend the event as well. Lego Fun (Ages 2+)
10 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (Community Room at the Oyster Bay Public Library) Tables will be set up in the Community Room for children to come play with legos and build creations. The weekly program is free for all, and registration is not required. Any child under the age of 9 must be accompanied by an adult, and all Legos must stay in the library at all times.

Play Hooray! (Ages birth-5)
10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. (Community Room at the Oyster Bay/East Norwich Public Library) Join Molly Mouse for a music and movement class. There will be dancing, music, reading and activities.
Unplugged Kidz: Harry Potter
7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (Community Room at the Locust Valley Public Library) Kids are invited to learn about coding in the enchanting “Harry Potter Pixel Coding’’ program. Students will learn how to create computer images and explore the fundamentals of coding using their favorite Harry Potter characters. This program is open to students in fifth- through ninth- grade.

Library Walking Club
9:15 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. (Glen Cove Public Library) The library will be hosting a new, weekly event for those interested in group exercise. The walking group accepts all fitness levels and encourages attendees to go at their own pace. On these weekly walks, residents will meet like-minded people and see the sights that their town has to offer.
