Farmingdale High School DECA attends New York DECA State Career Conference

Members of the Farmingdale High School chapter of New York DECA joined over 3,000 high school business, finance, hospitality and marketing students at the annual association career development conference held March 5 to March 7 at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center in Rochester.

The following students received recognition of individual ability and achievement at the association level:

    • 4th Place in New York State
  • Johnny Andriopoulos – Principles of Finance

    • Top 10 Overall
  • Helena Bekele – Restaurant & Food Services Management Series

For placing in the top of their event in New York State, Alexandra Springer and Hailey Squitieri will advance to the international level competition at the DECA International Career Development Conference that will be held April 26-29, 2025, in Orlando, FL.

“These students have put in tremendous effort, discovered new passions, and built valuable relationships along the way. I am so proud of their achievements and excited to see Alex and Hailey shine on the international stage,” said Jaclyn Tannazzo, Farmingdale High School Business Teacher and DECA Co-Advisor.
