17 Syosset student-athletes commit to collegiate sports teams

Syosset High School celebrated its student-athletes at the high school’s annual Athlete Commitment Day on Tuesday, May 20. Seventeen of the high school’s student-athletes committed to play their respective sports at the collegiate level during a ceremony held in the guidance office.

The event was hosted by varsity lacrosse coach John Calabria, and attended by family, faculty coaches, and members of the administration, including Superintendent Thomas Rogers and athletic director Scott Steuber.

The following district student-athletes have committed:

  • Jessica Alessi, attending Cornell University for soccer
  • Alexa Baek, attending Iona University for lacrosse
  • Lily Brill, attending the University of Chicago for lacrosse
  • Declan Broggy, attending Hobart and William Smith Colleges for football
  • Will Cawley, attending Lehigh for lacrosse
  • Nicolette Ferraro, attending SUNY New Paltz for softball
  • Sara Gao, attending New York University for tennis
  • Thomas Martelli, attending the University of Scranton for baseball
  • Adam Marvin, attending the University of Rochester for football
  • Bibo Mohammad, attending Manhattan University for swimming
  • Alison Predmore, attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for softball
  • Ethan Ramirez, attending Emory University for baseball
  • Matthew Robotham, attending Marist University for track and field
  • Brynn Schneider, attending Hobart and William Smith Colleges for soccer
  • Hailey Truicko, attending Adelphi University for lacrosse
  • Nicholas Turner, attending SUNY Geneseo for lacrosse
  • Conrad Zheng, attending Bates College for football
