Oheka Castle in Huntington served as the lavish backdrop for one of Long Island’s most anticipated summer events: the 5th Annual 1-800-LIQUORS Celebrity Golf Classic. The two-day affair, produced by Celebrity Sports Entertainment (CSE) and The Money Team, took place Sunday, July 27, and Monday, July 28.

Organized by CSE founder Michael Mak and James McNair of The Money Team, the annual gathering blended Hollywood prestige, charitable giving and classic elegance. Over the years, the event has grown to attract A-list celebrities, athletes, and influencers, supporting cancer-related causes through the nonprofit initiative D-Up-On-Cancer.

A Gatsby Affair
On Sunday evening, guests dressed in 1920s-inspired attire for the Gatsby Party, an opulent celebration held on the castle’s sprawling grounds. The evening featured a red carpet entrance, casino games, a premium open bar, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, pop-up shops, live DJs, a cigar lounge and a fireworks finale. The experience channeled Jazz Age glamour while commemorating the centennial of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby,” first published in 1925.

The event was further elevated by luxury sponsors including Dusse Cognac, Tequila Comisario, Natura Cigars, Royal Wine Corp. and Bucked Up.

Celebrity Guests
The weekend’s roster included Academy Award-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr., Grammy-nominated rapper Ja Rule, comedian Michael Blackson, television personality Jason Lee and “Shark Tank” investor Kevin Harrington. Reality TV personality Johnny Bananas and representatives from The Money Team also attended.

The Golf Classic
On Monday morning, the Celebrity Golf Classic brought stars and supporters together for a day on the green. Tee time began at 9 a.m. as participants joined as individuals or teams, with some playing alongside celebrity guests.

Beyond the fairway, the tournament featured on-site entertainment, branded merchandise activations, food and beverage stations and additional fundraising opportunities through auctions and raffles. Proceeds supported cancer research and care organizations through D-Up-On-Cancer.

Supporting a Cause with Style
Proceeds from the weekend benefited D-Up-On-Cancer, which supports cancer-related organizations and individuals in need. Previous editions of the Celebrity Golf Classic raised significant funds through ticket sales, auctions, raffles and sponsorships.

This year’s sponsors included 1-800-LIQUORS as the title sponsor, along with CBD Healthcare Co., Apple Ice and other beverage and lifestyle brands.

A Landmark Venue
Oheka Castle, modeled after French châteaus and recognized as the second-largest private residence in the United States, provided a fitting location for the Gatsby-themed weekend. With its historic architecture, manicured gardens and ties to the Jazz Age, the castle underscored the event’s sense of grandeur and connection to literary history.

Now in its fifth year, the Celebrity Golf Classic at Oheka Castle continued to draw major names while maintaining its focus on charitable impact and community engagement.
