Election Guide 2025: Glen Cove City Council candidate Grady Farnan, Rep., Con.

Grady Farnan is deeply rooted in the Glen Cove community raised by parents Ben and Mitzi who were active citizens of the town.

He has raised his family in Glen Cove with his wife of 32 years, Camille. His three daughters, Remi, Gillian, and Shelbie, attended and graduated from the Glen Cove School District.

Farnan graduated from Glen Cove High School and went on to receive his Bachelor’s in business administration with a minor in finance at Adelphi University.  In February 2023, Farnan was appointed to the City Council after former Council Member Joe Capobianco was elected to City Court Judge, replacing longtime Judge Richard McCord and now serving the city as council member for the past three years.

His is an active member in good standing on the beatification team.  Farnan was a former member of the Industrial Development Agency.  Farnan’s 35-year career in the insurance industry with strong skill sets in research, auditing, and knowledge of safety maintenance and insurance for buildings, public work projects, parks, and other properties.

He currently works as an insurance special assistant for the County of Nassau Attorney’s Office.  He has been very active as a longtime parishioner and co-head usher at St. Patrick’s Church.

Farnan is a founding father of Glen Cove Junior Lacrosse and a former treasurer and founding member, G.C. High School Scholarship chairman for Glen Cove Jr. Lacrosse.  He serves as a current time clock and score keeper for all home games.

Farnan was a former elected board of education member, 2010-2016, appointed vice president of board for two years.  He is a current member of the Glen Cove Fitness and avid lover of rollerblading on the waterfront.

Farnan will continue to work diligently for preserving and protecting the safety and quality of life in Glen Cove and keeping the taxes in line for all city taxpayers.
