Steve Israel, former congressman and author of ‘The Einstein Conspiracy’, will be the guest speaker, dialoguing with Democratic activist and political commentator Robert Zimmerman, at Temple Emanuel of Great Neck. on Sunday, Nov. 23 at 2:00 p.m.

Israel’s new book is a gripping historical thriller. Based on actual events, “The Einstein Conspiracy” pits two FBI agents against a cunning undercover operative on a mission to abduct Albert Einstein, who Hitler believes holds the key to building the atomic bomb.
Agents James Amos and Harry Weiss plunge into a shadowy, surreal America where Nazi rallies take place in the iconic Madison Square Garden, and small, once quaint villages have transformed into mini fascist utopias; appearances are not only deceiving, but deadly.
“The Einstein Conspiracy” is rich in chilling detail and haunting reminders of a moment in American history when the line between foreign enemy and domestic threat was perilously thin.
Israel is a former Democratic congressman who represented New York’s North Shore of Long Island and parts of Queens for 16 years, from 2001 to 2017.
During his time in Congress, he served as the chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2011–2015, and he is also the author of political satire novels. Since leaving office, he has become the director of the Institute of Politics and Global Affairs at Cornell University and is a frequent political commentator.
Robert Zimmerman is a longtime Democratic National Committeeman. Democratic activist, fundraiser and political commentator on CNN, MSNBC and Fox News, Zimmerman is also co-president and co-founder of the public relations firm ZE Creative Communications.
