Garage Sale
To benefit Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Hicksville neighbors Sharon Holzapple and Bonnie Keyer will be participating in the two-day, 39-mile Avon Walk for Brest Cancer and will be holding a garage sale to raise funds. The garage sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 75 Combes Ave. All proceeds from the garage sale will go to the 2009 Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
The Taming of the Shrew
Presented by A Small Company In America. Directed by Scott E. Jarvis of Port Washington with a great cast of new and veteran ASCIA members. The cast includes John F. Anderson (Sea Cliff), Susan L. Renault Winery and overnight at Atlantic City’s Resorts Casino. The Glen Cove, Hicksville, Syosset Mercy League is going on Aug. 11 and 12 on this fun overnight. The trip includes a tour of the Renault Winery with luncheon, dancing and open bar at the winery. The on to Resorts Casino for the overnight stay. Class of 1959 50th Reunion
Member of the Freeport High School Class of 1959 have planned a gala weekend to celebrate their 50-year reunion from Sept. 11 to 13. Begins Friday night with a meeting at E.B. Elliot’s on the Nautical Mile to renew old acquaintances. Saturday will find the group at Jones Beach Field 6 or at Museum Row riding Nunley’s Carousel once more, in the bleachers at the Freeport vs. Oceanside football game or just riding around the village visiting old haunts.
