The Plainview Water District’s Board of Water Commissioners recently announced that a public budget hearing will be held on Sept. 3 at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library, which is located at 999 Old Country Road in Plainview, at 8 p.m.
The purpose of the hearing is to present an estimate of the proposed expenditures for and revenues of the Water District for the 2010 calendar year. Anyone interested will be given an opportunity to present written and oral comments at the public hearing.
A copy of the estimate of proposed expenditures for and revenues of the Water District for 2010 will be made available, upon request, beginning Monday, Aug. 31 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
