Children’s Yoga
The Recreation Department is offering Yoga for Children in Cluett Hall. This class, taught by Connie McKnight, is open to any resident ages 6-12. The schedule is as follows:
Fridays at 6:30 p.m. 24 weeks for $192

Platform Court Membership
An application for resident membership to the Recreation Department’s Platform Courts covers the season beginning Oct. 1 through April 2010. This membership is open to any individual who is a resident of the Inc. Village of Garden City. It covers unlimited play under the rules and regulations set forth by the Garden City Recreation Department. It does not cover any programs or special events that the Recreation Department itself chooses to run. Said events would require an additional fee if applicable.
The fee for this unlimited membership is $225. To register for membership, visit the recreation administrative offices at 108 Rockaway Ave. Checks should be made payable to the “Village of Garden City.”
Adult Yoga Classes
Our fall session of Yoga with Connie McKnight began the week of Sept. 14 according to the following schedule:
Mondays 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. 13 classes for $65
Wednesdays 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. 12 classes for $60
Thursdays 11:30 a.m.– 12:30 p.m. 13 classes for $65
This program is open to adults who are residents of the Inc. Village of Garden City. Each class will meet in Cluett Hall. To register for this program, visit the Recreation Administrative Offices at 108 Rockaway Avenue. For further information, call the Recreation Office at 465-4075.
Dance Conservatory
There are limited openings in the Recreation Department’s Dance Conservatory Program, which began Monday, Sept. 21. Please visit the Recreation Office at 108 Rockaway to register for one of our classes.
Children’s Tennis
Our youth tennis lessons began on Thursday, Sept. 24. We still have limited openings available in some of our classes. To register, please visit the Recreation Office at 108 Rockaway Avenue.
Adult Roller Hockey
The season began Sunday, Sept. 13 and runs through mid-November. All games are strictly pickup and just for fun. The cost of this program is $50 per person. Please make all checks payable to the Inc. Village of Garden City.
Who can play: ages 30 and over
When: Sunday evenings at 7 p.m.
Where: Roller Hockey Rink @ Community Park

Women’s Tennis League
We have openings in the following women’s tennis leagues:
Monday 3.0 Doubles 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Tuesday 2.5 Doubles 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Thursday 3.5 Doubles 12:30 to 2 p.m. (full and one-half share available)
Friday 3.0-3.5 Singles noon to 1 p.m.
