Letter: Support for Arshad Majid

I urge you to vote for Arshad Majid.
Since Mr. Majid rang my doorbell one summer afternoon (in the middle of a barbecue with my family), I have spent much time finding out as much unbiased factual information as possible about him, and I am very impressed.
As the Democratic legislator for District 17, I believe he will put only best interests of the residents first when drafting and approving local laws that would affect them. He speaks the truth when he stated he never sought public office. He is a good man. His reputation is spotless. He has dedicated his life to fight for the rights of all people.
As an attorney, his beliefs are firm that the Constitution is still, after 200 years, a working document for protecting the rights of all Americans. His MBA in both economics and finance prove to me he is qualified to receive and understand reports of very complex financial issues our town will face. This is important. He will be able to fight down to the very detail, with competing figures, against those issues that would not be in the best interest of the residents in our community.
As a former assistant district attorney, Mr. Majid has proven himself that he can fight fraud as well as other abuses and is fearless to stand up for what he believes is right. It is time for a fresh, new voice, a fearless independent mind, which was never, nor will ever be, interested in career politics but only the best health and wealth of our communities who have suffered so much. He is the one who will listen and bring help to the residents, who will make the right decisions that are right for the community, and is the most qualified. 
I will be voting for Arshad Majid.
