Over the last few weeks you have heard about and read about the position of Hicksville Fire Commissioner. I am asking that you support and vote for Chief Robert Lang.
You have heard and read various stories and statements made on behalf of the candidates. Bob Lang has proven himself to be a worthy candidate for the job and the challenges of the position.
Chief Lang has proven himself to be an outstanding leader in his current position as chief of the Hicksville Fire Department. He retired from the New York City Fire Department after a 20-year career, where he served with honor and pride. The dedication that he has shown on the job and as a chief of the Hicksville Fire Department, is the same dedication and commitment that he will bring to the position of fire commissioner.
Chief Lang was selected by the members of the fire department to lead them as their chief. He met many challenges and obstacles in his performance as chief. He addressed the needs of the department and the community. A prime example of this is the new emergency medical services program that has been instituted to better serve the residents. Now I am asking that you make the selection to elect Robert Lang for fire commissioner.
Please vote on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at either the East Marie Street Firehouse or the Levittown Parkway Firehouse. The hours are from 3 to 9 p.m.
