The show must go on! There is talk that the Jones Beach 4th of July fireworks show will be canceled due to budget cuts.
I fear that people will take matters into their own, untrained, sometimes drunk hands! The hospital ERs are already overcrowded on that day and night. With thousands more thinking they can put on their own show, the ERs will not be able to handle this.
Along with all the other things people go to the ER for, this places people’s lives at risk. People will not be able to get any emergency care.
I ask that those in power rethink this. And if the show is canceled-and I pray it is not- don’t take matters into your own hands. You could have no place to go to get those hands put back on!
