American Chamber Ensemble
Will present a special concert at 8 p.m. at Steinway Piano Gallery, 505 Walt Whitman Rd. (Route 110), Melville. The repertoire will be Beethoven’s Trio, Op. 11 for clarinet, cello and piano, Bernstein’s Sonata for clarinet and piano and Dream with Me for soprano, cello and piano, Jonathan Russ’s Through the Window for soprano, cello and piano, Milhaud’s Scaramouche Suite for Two Pianos, Chausson’s Songs for soprano and piano, Chopin’s Two Mazurkas for piano, Polonaise Brillante, Op. 3 for cello and piano and Mendelssohn’s Concert Piece No. 2 for two clarinets and piano. Performers will be pianist Blanche Abram and clarinetist Naomi Drucker, along with Chris Finckel, cello, Marilyn Sherman Lehman, piano and Karen Lehman, soprano. Spring Swing
Mill Neck Family’s fourth annual Spring Swing Invitational Golf Tournament will be held at the North Hills Country Club in Manhasset on May 24. Sportscaster and author Len Berman will join the event, where he’ll play golf and speak at the Champions Dinner. Entries are limited to the first 25 men’s, ladies’ or mixed foursomes. All golfers will receive an autographed copy of Berman’s new book The Greatest Moments in Sports. Additional copies will be available for purchase. For an entry fee of $350 per person, guests will enjoy delicious brunch, golf challenges and food and refreshments on the 7th, 10th and 12th holes of the course.
