C.P. Siebenhuer of Plainview, author of the children’s book But What if I Don’t Understand?, available from Tate Publishing & Enterprises, will donate half of the profits from the sale of her book to the Arthritis Foundation. For Siebenhuer, a first-time author and mother of two who wasn’t seeking a career in fiction, but submitted her story for publication at the request of her daughter, the motivation is personal:
“My longtime and dearest friend’s mother, Rosalie Randazzo, passed away on January 5, 2010. Rosalie suffered from the painful and crippling disease of rheumatoid arthritis for over 30 years. In memory of Rosalie, I decided to embark on a very special project to help raise money for a donation to the Arthritis Foundation,” she said.
For each copy of But What if I Don’t Understand? that is purchased up to and including April 30, Sibenhuer will donate half of the profits to the Arthritis Foundation in memory of Rosalie Randazzo. This donation will be made in May 2010.
While Sibenhuer has no immediate plans to publish another children’s book, she may use proceeds from future books to make a donation to the American Diabetes Association in memory of her father, Lino J. Bracco, who passed away on April 29, 2009.
