Here it is: Wow!
We gave a gasp on Sunday, April 18, driving down West Main Street, as we came to Spring Street.
The sight of the Octagon Hotel rising from its dismal past was a burst of fresh air; a wonderful harbinger of what is good that is happening in the hamlet.
Wow!
Actually everyone was talking about it at the Main Street Association meeting on Thursday, April 15. That included word that the roof of the Brower House was gone, as part of their restoration.
There is a great deal going on in the hamlet that is just wonderful and we are grateful to all the folks who are making things happen.
We are a lucky hamlet with so much coming together to make a “Better Oyster Bay,” as the young people say!
