Isaac Luckman Knows Oyster Bay
Isaac Luckman called to identify the mystery picture in the May 27 issue of the Enterprise Pilot. “It’s Marino Field,” he said. “I know because I played there all year. My team is the Sand Gnats. I play second base.” Isaac is in the third grade at the Vernon School.
Billy Minicozzi too recognized the photograph. He said, “It’s kids sitting on a brick wall at the baseball field on Berry Hill Road.” He was delighted that New York has gotten the Super Bowl and hopes the Jets will be there playing.
