School Board Swears In President, Vice President, And Superintendent

At their reorganization meeting on Wednesday, July 14, the Farmingdale Board of Education’s president and vice president, among other administrative personnel, took their oaths of office.

BOE President Shari Bardash-Eivers was unanimously elected by the rest of the board to serve as president for the 2010/11 school year. Vice President Steve Wilson was also unanimously chosen by the BOE to serve again as its VP.

“It’s a privilege and it is an honor to sit on this board and I thank you for your vote,” Bardash-Eivers said to the rest of the board.

The district’s attorney, Richard Guercio, also swore into office Superintendent John Lorentz and other officials from the district’s administration.

Trustees Russ Catanzaro and Tina Diamond, who both won their unopposed re-election bid last May, were sworn in at a special meeting a few days before the July 14 meeting.
