On Saturday, Sept. 11, the Seaford High School held its ninth annual Candle Lighting Ceremony to commemorate the lives lost in the 2001 attacks on the nation. Special honors were mentioned to the families of Thomas Haskell, Tomothy Haskell, John Perry, Robert Sliwak, and Michael Wittenstein. The Seaford Memorial Committee has established an annual Patriot Award and has given over $95,000 in student scholarships. The 2010 Patriot Award winners are: Stephanie Lebitz, William Kempner, Leonard DiBono, Michelle Bernshteyn and Jennifer Rodriguez.
