IT Baseball Captain Mike Manganiello Commits to Concordia College

The Island Trees Bulldogs baseball team proudly announces the verbal commitment of senior third baseman Mike Manganiello to accept a baseball scholarship to Concordia College, where he will study business and major in accounting. Manganiello is a three-year starter for the Bulldogs and has been a big part of the team’s success the past two seasons. As a sophomore in 2009, he hit .400 with 3 home runs and 20 RBI’s as Island Trees made it all the way to the Nassau County Class-A finals. The Nassau County Baseball Coaches Association named him All-Conference that year. Last season as a junior, Manganiello hit .392 with 4 home runs and 25 RBI’s. He was named All County as the Bulldogs advanced to the semifinals for the fourth year in a row and was named captain as a junior for the leadership he provides to Bulldogs both on and off the field.
