First-time contenders the Ladies of Laceration face off against current champs the Rolling Thundercats at Skate Safe America, 182 Bethpage Sweet Hollow Rd., Old Bethpage (249-1717). The Bible Class Is Back
Looking for an hour of action, drama and excitement on Wednesday night? Take in a classic series that has been delivering the thrills for more than 2000 years. Join Rabbi Conn for all the action at 8:15 p.m. Rabbi Conn will continue to guide the class through one of the Bible’s most dramatic books: I Samuel which tells the tragic story of the rise of the fatally flawed King Saul and his rivalry with the charismatic hero David. Yoga Community Class
Each week on Sunday from 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. Absolute Yoga, 1 Guilles Ln.,Woodbury (behind Parade Diner), holds a community yoga class. The class is by donation only. All instructors who teach these classes donate their time. They want to share how profoundly this practice has changed their lives and want to make yoga accessible to all. All proceeds from these community classes are donated to charity in the Long Island area. From December to February, all proceeds from the community class will be donated to Tobay Hadassah. •Family Support Group, an ongoing support group for those who have family members or other loved ones with mental illness.
