Barbra Streisand: Streisand Performs at 2011 Grammys

In today’s music age, the next “big” thing is always one YouTube video away.

From Pop to Rock to Country and everything in between, a new age of musicians are starting to fill the spotlight.

But at the 53rd annual Grammy’s last night, one of the best performances of the night might have come from one of the oldest people to grace the stage.

Barbra Streisand, 68, rocked the Staples Center last night when she sang “Evergreen” from “A Star is Born.”

From the start of her performance, the Twitter world went aflurry.

According to one tweet: “That Barbra Streisand has some pipes, I remember her from when they were writing the bible.”

Thrown back into the relevancy circle by the surprising smash song by Duck Sauce entitled “Barbra Streisand”, Streisand took Grammy weekend by storm.

Along with her performance at the show, Streisand also highlighted the MusiCares concert on last Friday where she put on a 30-minute set.

So while the music industry continues to evolve, Streisand proved last night that the veterans in the music game still have a lot of voice left in them.
