Billboard Players Present The Fame Game
The Billboard Players presents an original musical, The Fame Came, book by Louis V. Fucilo and music and lyrics by Frank Sanchez at the Community Church of East Williston, located at East Williston Avenue between High Street and Roslyn Road on April 1, 8 and 15 at 8 p.m. and on April 2, 9 and 16 at 8 p.m. and on April 3 at 5 p.m. and on April 10 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $15 and $10 for seniors. Antique and Collectibles Auction
The First Presbyterian Church, 16 South 9th Street, New Hyde Park (south off Jericho Turnpike) will hold a Antique and Collectibles Auction. Viewing will be at 5 p.m. and at 6 p.m. the auction. Long Island Conservatory of Music Art Show and Concert
The Long Island Conservatory of Music will be hosting a benefit art show and concert to help those in Japan who have been devastated by the earthquake and tsunami. The art show will be gin at 4 p.m. and will feature student work. Immediately following at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., the faculty of the conservatory will feature a classical music concert with proceeds to be sent to the Japan relief effort. All are invited. Hillside Grade to Hold Annual Kids Care Caravan
Hillside Grade School. 150 West Maple Drive, New Hyde Park, will be holding its annual “Kids Care Caravan” Food Drive To Benefit Long Island Cares. We Will Again Be A Part Of The “Feinstein Foundation Challenge”. For Every pound Of Food Collected $1 Will Be Donated to Long Island Cares from the Feinstein Foundation. Between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12 noon a truck from Long Island Cares will be located on the blacktop behind Hillside Grade School to accept non-perishable food donations.

Go Dog Go at Long Island Children’s Museum
At 12:30 and 3:30 p.m. P.D. Eastman’s classic children’s book comes to life on the LICM stage in an exploration of movement, color and space. The dogs delve into life with gusto, creating a visual spectacle for the audience to enjoy. They snorkel. They howl at the moon. They ride a s wheel. They sing, dance and climb trees. This show is like a pop-up book that comes to life – and never stops. Go, Dog. Go! was first presented by Seattle Children’s Theatre for the 2002-2003 season and is produced by special arrangement with “Plays for Young Audiences”, a partnership of Seattle Children’s Theater and Children’s Theatre Company – Minneapolis Ages: 3 and up.
