On Monday, April 25, the girls’ track team had a really nice showing at the Derrick Adkins Invitational at Mitchell Complex. This invitational had top runners from all over the metropolitan area, and the Island Trees girls did well. They placed in the following events:
2nd place with a time of 1:49.00 in the 4 x 200: Theresa Hinshaw, Kelly Schultz, Emily Cramner, and Alexa Dolgos
2nd place with a time of 1:52:30 in the Sprint Medley: Emily Cramner, Theresa Hinshaw, Kelly Schultz, and Alexa Dolgos
3rd place in the 4 x 800: Danielle Dugan, Kristen Nigro, Theresa Hinshaw, and Sam Jones
4th place to Danielle Medellin in the 400 hurdles
