The search for the sole winning ticket in Wednesday’s nationwide $201.9 million Powerball jackpot has ended and a group of 20 Costco employees on Long Island can officially celebrate.
The co-workers, who all work at Costco’s Route 110 store in Melville, remain unknown and a press conference scheduled for Thursday in the store was canceled because not all winners could appear. It was not immediately clear if another press conference would be scheduled.
The group of 20 won with the combination 8, 18, 38, 46 and 56. The Powerball number was 31.
The Quick Pick winning ticket was bought at Maulik & Chandni stationery store in Lindenhurst. Married store owners Mitul and Parul Patel have been lucky once before, selling James Grassia a $1 million winning Red Hot Million game instant scratch-off.
