Huntington Village holds one of the largest parades in New York State, and it just happens to be their annual gay pride parade. So, it only makes sense that the village be the spot to host Beyond Gay: The Politics of Pride, a film highlighting the many pride parades in the United States and around the world.
The film explores the meaning and relevance of these events in different parts of the world, in places where they are big celebrations—and where they are not. It follows Big Gay ken, who travels around the world attending pride celebrations and protests from the world’s largest event of over 3 million in Sao Paulo to the very clandestine Moscow march.
