Three Arrested Following A Merrick Robbery

Three were arrested for robbery in Merrick on Saturday at 2:56 p.m.

According to Nassau County Police, Daytona Goodwin, 21, of Brooklyn, Erick Perez, 22, of Brooklyn and Luis Umpierre, 22, of Brooklyn, entered the AT&T Store, located at 235 Sunrise Highway, in Merrick, held three store employees at gunpoint and then demanded to be taken to the stock room. Once inside the stockroom, they removed over thirty thousand dollars worth of AT&T merchandise and then fled from the scene in a white vehicle. Police were notified and an officer who was alerted to the Robbery observed them not far from the scene. The subjects were subsequently arrested and no injuries were reported.

Goodwin, Perez and Umpierre are being charged with Robbery, Criminal Use of a Firearm and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. They will be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead later today.
