Nassau County police are investigating the discovery of a man found dead in Westbury on Sunday morning.
A 54-year-old man was found unresponsive by his landlord in his basement apartment on Rutland Street shortly after 9 a.m.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. He was taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
The cause of death was not immediately known.
The victim’s name is being withheld pending family notification.
Homicide and Third Squad detectives are continuing the investigation.
