Forget “Twilight” vampire hottie Kellan Lutz, he’s now got an even more bada** role. Lutz is set to star in a contemporary “Gladiator,” film called “Arena.”

Lutz plays David Lord, who “finds himself forced into the savage world of a modern gladiatorial arena,” states the newly released trailer’s caption. According to Star Pulse, in his newest role, Lutz plays a firefighter who’s forced into modern-day gladiatorial combat on an online forum called “Death Games” on which viewers can watch the fights and vote on which warriors they would like to see live or die.

The movie also stars Samuel L. Jackson, who runs the website. He captures men, tortures them and forces them to fight, which is the case with Lutz. Lutz’s character reportedly refuses to fight, according to Ryanseacrest.com, until Jackson’s character offers him a deal “Give me nine more fights, and win, and I’ll set you free.”

The movie has no reported release date.

This isn’t the only Lutz movie that comes out this year. He also stars in new movie, “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part 1” which comes out November 18. Lutz, 26, is best known for playing Emmet Cullen in the “Twilight” series. Cullen is Rosalie Hale’s husband, Carlisle and Esme Cullen’s adopted son, and Edward, Alice and Jasper’s adoptive brother. Emmett became a vampire after he was attacked by a bear and found by Rosalie, who saved him by sinking her fangs into him– technically she made Carlisle do that.

Lutz also stars in the new film, “Immortals” which comes out November 11.
