A Hempstead man was caught drunken driving with three teenage passengers early Sunday morning, Nassau County police said.
Jorge Reyes was seen swerving on Clinton Street in the right lane, onto a curb and across a sidewalk and ater he was pulled over, officers found he was under the influence of alcohol at 3:10 a.m., police said.
Reyes had three 15-year-old family friends in the back seat, police said. The three teens were unharmed and released to their parents.
Reyes was charged with driving while intoxicated with children in the vehicle, a felony under Leandra’s Law, unlicensed operator and driving a motor vehicle across a sidewalk.
He will be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
