New Hyde Park Village to Hold Annual Street Fair
The New Hyde Park Village will hold its Annual Street Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The street will be closed from New Hyde Park Road to Covert Avenue from 6 a.m. The New Hyde Park Street Fair is the biggest street fair in Nassau County and is not to be missed and this will also include a magnificent Car Show, merchant displays, free samples, live demos, music, rides and games, raffles and children’s entertainment. So come on down and enjoy the features of the many merchants that makeup the fair.
Irish American Society Ceili
The Irish American Society of Nassau, Suffolk and Queens, Inc., 297 Willis Avenue, Mineola will hold a Ceili under the direction of Pete Kelly.
Michael Amante at The Tilles Center

Country Barn Dance at United Methodist Church
The Hillside Methodist Church, 2801 Hillside Avenue, corner of Heywood Street in New Hyde Park, will hold a Country Barn Dance from 7:30 to 10 p.m. featuring live music, professional musicians. No dance experience necessary. Dance lessons provided and demonstrated: country, square, contra and waltz. Singalong with guitar and fiddlers. Free coffee, beverages and snacks. Church of Holy Spirit to Hold Defensive Driving Course
Church of the Holy Spirit, 500 Jericho Turnpike, in New Hyde Park is offering a Defensive Driving Course sponsored by the National Safety Council on Saturday, class hours will be from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $45. With this course participants will receive a 10 percent reduction in the liability and collisions portions of their insurance premium, and it will also remove up to four (4) points from their driving record.
