The New Hyde Park Little League, under the leadership of president Tom Pellegrino, held its annual awards breakfast at the Inn at New Hyde Park.
The large ballroom was packed with both boy and girl League participants surrounded by family and coaches.
A large table stretched across the room crammed with shiny gold trophies waiting to be awarded to various team members.
Pellegrino took time out to identify and introduce dignitaries in the room including Hempstead Supervisor Kate Murray, North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jon Kaiman, Assemblyman Thomas McKevitt and Nassau County Legislator Richard Nicolello and New Hyde Park Mayor Dan Petruccio. Each elected official congratulated the club and its 500 plus members for such a successful season.
