Nassau County Police are currently investigating a hit-and-run that left a woman in serious condition Saturday.
At 3:15 p.m., a 50-year-old woman was attempting to cross the intersection at Peninsula Blvd and Front Street in Hempstead, when a northbound black four-door vehicle struck her and allegedly drove off.
The woman was transported to a local hospital where she remains in serious condition.
