After a node was found last October on the singer’s voice, a doctor told him to stop singing. Williams sought a second opinion from doctors at UCLA. A young doctor there, who happened to be a fan, gave Williams the answer he was looking for: Take several months off to see if the growth subsides. He did, and it did.
