Cops: Two Men Rob 54-Year-Old In Freeport

According to police, a 54-year-old man was walking in the vicinity of Rosedale Avenue and Broadway in Freeport Saturday at around 7:30 p.m. when he was approached from behind by a man wearing a white hooded sweatshirt. The man instructed him to stop while his accomplice approached and revealed a small silver handgun. The gun-wielding man went through the 54-year-old man’s pockets, taking his cell phone and wallet. Both men fled east on Commercial Street.

There were no injuries reported.
