So who does the American public hate the most when it comes to sports world?
Forbes released a list of the most disliked athletes in the major sports in America and Eagles quarterback Mike Vick once again found himself on the list. It looks like the American public has yet to forgive the agile quarterback for his dog fighting arrest.
The survey was conducted by Nielsen and E-Poll Market Research, which calculated the public’s feelings toward athletes.
Unlike recent polls that rated disliked athletes by the sport they play, the bad boys list released by Forbes includes athletes from all over the sports world.
To nobody’s surprise, New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries is now considered one of the most disliked athletes in the country. Once a little known rebounder in the NBA, Humphries’ face has been splashed all over gossip pages and he is consistently booed around the NBA. The vitriol directed at the 27-year-old forward is largely due to his much-publicized marriage and then divorce to reality-TV star Kim Kardashian.
Joining Humphries was Jets wide receiver Plaxico Burress, as well as Kurt Busch and Ndamukong Suh, who gained national attention after he stomped his foot on an opponent during a Thanksgiving Day game last year. He was suspended for two games following the incident, and he didn’t earn any points from fans and media who watched Suh’s press conference after the game where he denied the incident and then blamed it on trying to “remove myself from the situation.”
Some veterans continue to appear on the list, including golf star Tiger Woods and Alex Rodriguez. Check out who else made the list.
