Police arrested a man for threatening a television crew in Babylon Saturday.
According to Suffolk County Police, 29-year-old Carlos Borbon, was walking on Main Street in Babylon when he noticed a television crew from the Animal Planet show, “Tanked” shooting at Plessers Appliances at around 2 p.m. Saturday. Borbon approached workers, with whom he got into an altercation with. He pulled out a kitchen knife and began threatening to kill them, cops say.
Police were called while workers from the appliance store as well as the television crew chased Borbon as he ran down Main Street. Borbon ended up in Jacqueline’s Patisserie, where cops arrested him and recovered the weapon.
Borbon was arrested and charged with Menacing, Resisting Arrest, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on February 19.
