A Bellmore man died early Sunday after his car veered off the road on Merrick Road.
According to police, 28-year-old Miguel Romero was driving a Honda Accord east on Merrick Road in Bellmore when his vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a parked car at around 5:45 a.m.
His car then slammed into the side of a nearby building. Romero was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to the Medical Examiner’s Office.
There is no criminality at this time though his vehicle has been impounded for testing.
