The Casey Anthony case shocked the world when she was acquitted of murdering her daughter, Caylee, but in a recent interview Anthony wants everyone to know that she did not kill her daughter, despite what the rest of the country thinks.

Ever since Casey Anthony was released from jail she has gone into seclusion. For the first time since she has been out of jail she said to Piers Morgan in a phone interview on Tuesday, “Obviously I didn’t kill my daughter.”

Morgan recounted his interview with Casey on CNN‘s Piers Morgan Tonight.

“If anything, there’s nothing in this world I’ve ever been more proud of, and there’s no one I loved more than my daughter,” Anthony continued. “She’s my greatest accomplishment.”

She also told him that she regrets past interviews she’d done.

“I’m ashamed in many ways of the person that I was,” she told Morgan. “Even then, that wasn’t who I am. … I’ve never been a party girl. I don’t drink now. I’ve probably had a handful of beers since I’ve been on probation.”

She continued to tell Morgan that she didn’t trust law enforcement, and she is “not making gazillions of dollars at the hands of other people” nor is she seeking fame or fortune from her story.

“I’m 26 now, and I’ve gone through hell,” she added.

Morgan read aloud a letter from a viewer which said no news channels ever portrayed Casey as anything but a horrible mother, even though in every video of Casey she was shown as a loving mother.

Do you think Casey is actually innocent?
