Sweet Charity

Bethpage Federal Credit Union partners on the presentation of Sweet Charity. Based on Federico Fellini’s Nights of Cabiria screenplay, it tells the story of Times Square Dance Hall performer Charity Hope Valentine and her romantic ups and downs. Evening performances: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., Sundays at 7 p.m. Matinee performances: Saturdays at 3 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $65/or $60 when using a special “BETHPAGE” promotional code available by visiting www.lovebethpage.com. 3rd Annual Walk for Lymphedema and Lymphatic Diseases

The Lymphatic Research Foundation is proud to announce the 3rd Annual Walk for Lymphedema and Lymphatic Diseases. This event supports funding for The Lymphatic Research Foundation (LRF), which is an organization dedicated to advancing research of the lymphatic system and to find improved treatments and cures for lymphatic diseases, lymphedema, and related disorders. Participants will gather at 10 a.m. in Eisenhower Park, East Meadow. Planting Fields Foundation and Chamber Players International announce the Beethoven Festival at Coe Hall Mansion. Performances are as follows:

•Concert featuring Adrian Daurov, cellist, Philip Edward Fisher, pianist. Cello Sonatas: F Major (No.1) op.5 and A Major (No.3) op. 69 at 2 p.m.

•Lecture “The Keys to Beethoven” at 3 p.m.

The Bethpage Ocean to Sound 50-Mile Relay will be held on Sunday, Sept. 23 to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Start time is 8 a.m. Begins at Jones Beach and ends at Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park in Oyster Bay. Teams must register online at www.glirc.org. A Country-Western party will be hosted by the Nassau & Queens Chapters of the Order of the Eastern Star on Sunday, Sept. 30, at 3 p.m. The party will be held in the Parish Hall of the Church of St Jude, 3606 Lufberry Ave., Wantagh. Free Veterinary Lectures

Once a month beginning in September through December, Long Island Cat Fanciers sponsors free lectures given by top local veterinarians on topics relevant to dog and cat owners. All members of the public are welcome to attend. Dance Classes
