Davis, Anne Grace of Farmingdale, died on Nov. 26. Beloved wife of Robert. Devoted mother of Robert Jr. and Amanda. Cherished daughter of Josephine and the late Louis Crescimanni. Loving sister of Mary, John, Paul, Marc and the late Lisa O’Donnel. Adored daughter-in-law to Joan and the late George Davis. Loving sister-in-law to Lisa, Tony, Steve, Cathy, Darin, Zina and Matthew. Wonderful aunt to Stephen, Lauren, Marco, Gian Luca, Kristen, Victoria, Ivana, Jennifer, Kevin and Anthony, and beloved by many other family members.
Anne was the vice president and CFO of Random House, and Markus Dohle, chairman and CEO member of the executive board of Bertelsmann SE & Co. wrote of her, “Anne was more than a brilliant CFO; she was our anchor, our heart, our inspiration. She not only made our company much more successful, she made it a better place to work and, for those of you who knew her personally, she made us better people. Anne was widely admired and highly respected for her integrity and sincerity and, above all, her goodness. She was someone who always found a kind word for everyone and always pointed out and brought out the positive in everyone. Anne was full of light and optimism.”
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Anne’s name to her favorite charities: St. Judes; Camp Adventure; and the American Breast Cancer Society. Funeral Mass was held at St. Kilian R.C. Church, Farmingdale. Interment St. Charles Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home Inc.
