St. Joseph’s Parish Fourth Wise Man Screening
St. Joseph’s Parish Adult Faith Formation Board hosts a screening at 2 p.m. of the Fourth Wise Man that will be held in the St. Agnes Room. This is the second of the Movies for a Sunday Afternoon series in the 2012-13 Season. Sometimes, the search for the Lord can take a lifetime. That was true of Artaban, a Magi who had studied the prophesies and witnessed signs in the heavens and was prepared to venture forth with three other Magi to find the Messiah promised to the Jews. However, he was delayed and missed the scheduled departure, and spent 33 years meandering in the dessert pursuing his quest, continually sidetracked by people and events. By then, the gifts he had started with were gone, and he had nothing to present to the Messiah – or did he? The movie stars Martin Sheen as Artaban, and Alan Arkin, as his faithful servant Orantes. Admission is free and all are welcome. A discussion will follow the showing and light refreshments will be served.
